June 20, 1998 - November 2, 2024
I hope i'm remembered as who I am. I know my grave will probably say [Redacted Deadname]. I hope people remember me as Fay.
Fay Olsson (she/her) passed away at the age of 26 on November 2, 2024.
Fay was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, and lived a life full of adventure, love, and deep connections with others. As a young child, Fay was drawn to many creative outlets, and she later developed a passion for volunteering with Humane Borders, where she was able to give back to her borderlands community. She found joy in helping others and made lasting relationships with the people she met along the way.
Fay was also a proud and loving trans woman, and she embraced her identity with strength, courage, and authenticity. Her journey was one of self-discovery and growth, and she was always open and supportive of others on their own paths.
In her last year, Fay found great comfort in her online and in-person friendships. Whether from her hometown in Tucson, her time spent in Alaska, or her life in Phoenix, Fay’s heart was big, she made connections, and she loved deeply. Through Escape from Tarkov and other shared interests on Discord, she stayed connected with her friends near and far. These relationships, along with her genuine love for others, played a central role in her life.
Fay was a person who loved love—she cherished every connection she made and shared her love freely with those who mattered most to her.
Fay also had a special bond with her cats: Cannoli, Cake, and Cookie; her pets were a great source of joy and comfort. She cried tears of joy with her moments with them, often sharing her love through caring companionship.
Her kindness, gentleness, generosity, and love for life impacted everyone she met. She made lasting impressions with her humor, her willingness to help, and her ability to make others feel seen and heard. Fay’s bright and compassionate spirit will be deeply missed. She will forever be remembered for her love, her authenticity, and the way she touched the hearts of so many.
She will forever be remembered as Fay.
